STRONG SELF IS AN AUTHENTIC SELF

Being strong is easier when you know who you are. That’s because you know who you’re standing up for! There is no right or wrong way of being, but there is your way of being. We were most aware of our authentic selves and potential as children. Unfortunately, there are many reasons why we have lost touch.

YOUR AUTHENTIC POTENTIAL

Your authentic potential is the seed of your true self. There is no final true self, you are meant to evolve. The true self is who you become as you choose life paths based on your inner pull. This is the pull of your authentic potential, and the pull of you who are meant to become.

When you build your life according to your authentic potential, you create your true self. This means that you develop STRONG SELFHOOD. (You know who are, what you do, and why you do it).

WHY WE ARE NOT AUTHENTIC

Developmental Trauma: Early life can teach us that self expression equals pain. The lack of nurturing experiences replace our inner voice with numbness, fear, and anger. Our nervous systems are transformed through trauma, which makes it harder to hear our true voice.

Social Conditioning: We become disconnected from our inner voice when we are taught to take orders. The inner voice is silenced by the voice of authority. The way we learn to use our minds disrupts our connection with the true voice.

Survival: The inner voice is put aside by the need to survive financially, please family, or prove ourselves to others.

SELFHOOD CAN BE RESTORED

The clues about your potential are always present. These clues are your curiosities, your tendencies, the natural way that you play in the world (as an advocate, a teacher, a builder, an artist, an intellectual, a diplomat…). Nobody has to convince you, it energizes you to do it, and the more you master it, the greater you become.

The key to developing Selfhood is to heal and clear away the wounds and beliefs that stop you from becoming the real you.

What is it in life that drives you? You can create Strong Selfhood when you are aware of your potential. If you feel disconnected from this awareness, one of the 3 types of blocks mentioned above could be blocking you.
