There are some basic rules for nurturing happiness in your life. We break almost all of them everyday, and often unconsciously. Getting conscious of them will help you to take control and reclaim a naturally happy life. Here they are…
We Doubt Our “Goodness”
Many of us have a silent tape that plays out in our minds. It was recorded in childhood, and it lets us know that we are either “good” or “bad” children. We’ve attached many rules and expectations to ourselves to make sure that we stay good. Very often these rules are not our own creation.

This makes those tasks exhausting, because they will forever be motivated by “running away” from being bad rather than your authentic incentive. That feeling of being bad or not good enough, is a wound that needs to be recognised and healed.
We Doubt Our Self-Worth
Human beings are social creatures. We appreciate being valued, accepted, and connected with our fellow humans. Unfortunately, many of us have been conditioned to believe that there is something wrong with us, and we are unworthy of love, connection, and appreciation.
Your life as a conscious being gives you inherent worth. Wounds of shame, disapproval, and neglect can lead us to believe that we are unworthy, when this is simply not the case.
Knowing What You Want

Do you have a clear vision for your life? When we go through a chaotic, painful, or neglectful childhood we can lose touch with our personal aspirations, needs, and dreams.
The ego is not a bad thing, it serves its purpose. However the wounded ego is a voice and energy that will take you off course.
Authenticity and Alignment
Do you feel fulfilled in your work? In your education? In your friendships? Are you able to live authentically throughout your daily tasks? We cannot always do exactly what we ‘want’ to be doing, but when the main theme of life is alignment it simply feels better.
Happier, more free flowing, less grind. There are many reasons we get off course, and ways to get back on track. Healing and reclaiming your authentic self-expression is one way, because it’s often childhood wounds that throw us off course and inspire us to make decisions that are not aligned with our best interests (aka stable growth).

Feeling Alone and Isolated
If you feel bad, unworthy, lost, and inauthentic – chances are that you also feel alone and isolated. It’s hard to connect with others when you are disconnected from yourself and judge yourself to boot. It’s a recipe for pain.
Fortunately, there are many solutions to these difficulties. If you are in this situation, you would not be alone…this is a very common ‘soup’ and many people live these wounds out to varying degrees and call it ‘life.’
Life is wrought with challenge, but that does not mean that you have to live in emotional fog or pain.
Start your healing journey, take stock, reconnect. Clear away the beliefs that you’ve accumulated that drive an unhappy life. Heal the wounds that commit you to those beliefs.
